Mini Grants
The Albany Education Foundation provides grants for teachers. Educators apply for mini-grants in the fall and the grants are distributed before the winter holidays. These grants provide for specific educational activities that enrich existing programs and the positive things already happening in Albany public schools. Criteria for mini-grants is included in the Grant Application section.
Sally Outis Block Grants
Sally Outis Block Grants are awarded in honor of AEF’s Founder and First Executive Director. Sally Outis block grants provide funds for large numbers of students or across a curriculum area.

Grants to New Teachers
Each September new teachers to the district are honored with a reception during which they are awarded Welcome Grants to help in setting up their classrooms. Although we couldn’t meet in person this year, Amazon gift cards were awarded to our fabulous new teachers:
